[So, being rained on in the woods makes it pretty clear she's not on the Watchtower anymore. There's a few possibilities: she remembers flying back with the force of Fate rejecting her spell, so maybe she hit her head. Or maybe it's some illusion caused by the rebound. A very real illusion, as she can feel her whole body ache as she sits up. But there's no way she's not hallucinating this.]
Toto, I've a feeling we're not in outer space anymore. [She mumbles the words to herself, unaware that anyone might be listening. The journal has gone beyond notice, though it's been silently broadcasting the scene since a minute or so before Zatana woke. Thankfully she's close enough to a tree that the rain falling on her is light enough to not be too much of a concern. Instead her eyes have wandered downward, taking in her change of clothing with a frown.]
Oh you've got to be kidding me. [Zatanna tugs at the collar of the dress she wears, clearly displeased by the slip.] Yeah, this has to go. Emit ot egnahc sehtolc!
[She lifts her hands over her head as she speaks the words, and seconds later a cloud of smoke flows up the same path to cover Zatanna completely. It doesn't last long, vanishing within moments to reveal the girl now wearing an outfit better suited for a magician. For some reason though, it makes the pain in her back worse, and her jacket feels far too tight. She shifts where she sits for a moment before shrugging off the outermost layer to reveal a pair of grey wings.]
What in the--?! [Zatanna gasps, eyes wide as she takes in the sight of the appendages now attached to her. Actually attached; they move when she thinks of moving them, and she feels it when she touches them.] Great. A fake world with bad taste in clothing and accessories. Just what I needed.
[She takes another look at the jacket, slowly shaking her head.] At least I've still got my magic. Dda seloh rof sgniw! [After another cloud puff, this only only around the jacket, she slides the coat back on--gingerly, since the wings still hurt.
She makes her way to her feet then, determined to find out what's going on. Hopefully exploring will give her the answers she needs to get back. If she's lucky, maybe she'd wake up and find out there could still be a chance to thwart Fate.
The only place she ends up, however, is in Luceti proper. With the advice of a few good samaritans in mind, Zatanna changes into something a little less battling-bad-guys ready using the same method as before. Not that the rain makes exploring easy, but there's not really much avoiding it. Luckily summoning an umbrella is easy enough to do, and gives her adequate cover as she wanders pretty much everywhere public, just trying to get some idea for where she is.]
{ooc: open action or voice to any; Zatanna will be looking around randomly, so feel free to catch her anywhere.}

Re: [voice]
[At least not yet. Sure, Zatanna's planning on taking up the family business, so to speak, but she hasn't even finished her first year of high school yet.]
Really? Do you know where she is now?
[voice] -> [filtered]
[Big maybe, though. If different worlds were a thing, who's to say different futures weren't a thing, either? Her question makes him think for a second, though.]
Uh... Good question. I haven't seen her around much lately. [He makes it a point to filter the next part of his message, since he figures she might not want to make it everyone's business.] We live on the same floor, though. Community housing building five, fourth floor. Maybe after you've had a chance to look around, you could stop by.
Re: [voice] -> [filtered]
[Good to know her plans work out well. But there’s something else pressing too, so much more important than her career or even finding out where Artemis lives.] If you’re from the future…do you know what happens to my father? Doctor Fate. Do I—does he ever get free from the Helmet?
[Maybe he can even tell her how he gets freed. Maybe this could be the key to saving him.]
[filtered]
[He's not sure if it's something he'd ever even hear about, to be honest. Bruce did have a habit of not telling him everything, though that isn't the only reason he doesn't know. He explains:]
See, I think it's more a combination of the two. The future of a similar world, I mean. See, Artemis told me about your team, but it's pretty different where I'm from.
Re: [filtered]
Different how? [At least there’s something to focus on other than the lingering sense of helplessness, and she’s more than a little curious to hear about the differences.]
[filtered]
But Robin hasn't been on any other teams. Not yet, anyway.
Re: [filtered]
She presses her lips together in a tight line, turning over what Jason’s said in his head.] You realize this all sounds insane, right? Especially coming from someone who’s “just a kid.”
[filtered]
But the reason I know this stuff? It's like you said, no superhero-connected kids in Gotham whatsoever. [He says it that way because hey, she's right. They were three for three in Luceti right now.] I'm Robin—not your Robin, or the one I mentioned, either. I'm the second where I'm from.
Re: [filtered]
She’s definitely not saying whelmed here.]
But…I can see your face. [Which okay, sounds a little dumb. But among members of the team, Robin’s the only one who hasn’t shared his secret identity, and who always wears something covering his eyes.]
[filtered]
Besides, those things get itchy, you know?
Re: [filtered]
Actually, I don’t have to deal with the whole mask thing. I don’t even go by an alias. [Zatanna shrugs a shoulder, despite being aware that makes her the odd crime-fighter out.] But if I get to see your face, does that mean I get to know your name too? Your real name.
[filtered]
[So he definitely didn't have any issues with her or anyone else knowing his name.]
Re: [filtered]
But your name isn't bad either, Jason Todd. Nice to meet you.
[Kind of being the operative word. Zatanna's still not sure how she feels about the whole Robin-but-not-your-Robin bit. That isn't Jason's fault though.]
[filtered]
Re: [filtered]
Yeah. And thanks. The same goes for you.
[Since they are sort of teammates.]
