So what does that mean? Possession's over, and everything is supposed to just go back to exactly the way it was before?

[Because Zatanna's been possessed before. This hadn't been the same as when Doctor Fate took over her body.]

Maybe it wasn't entirely us, but some of it was. You even said so yourself.

[It's hard to decide which is worse, honestly. That he really expects it to be so easy, that maybe it is for him, or that he wants to sweep it under the rug.]

Before someone hears what? Me saying I made out with Robin last week?

[Okay, maybe saying it louder isn't the nicest thing she can do. But Zatanna's getting pretty frustrated, especially when he tries to brush past her. There's not a lot she can do to stop him, given the size difference--but he will actually have to push her out of the way, since Zatanna steps more firmly into his path.]

[He half-shoves, half-pulls her back into the apartment, slamming the door behind them.]

[She's shoots a glare at him once they're inside again.] You say it doesn't matter and that it wasn't us, but then you don't want anyone to know. I want to know why.

[She crosses her arms over her chest, stubbornly refusing to back away from this.]

Zatanna, I don't know what you're interested in doing. But we're still prisoners here. You need to keep your head in the work. Neither one of us has time for... Whatever you think happened.

Actually, we’ve got nothing but time. [Yes, there are obligations to fill some of it, but not every single waking moment.] And what do you mean what I think happened? Last I checked, there were two of us involved in something that felt very real.

[Maybe in more ways than one. Although it’s getting harder to see all of them just then.]

Experiments tend to feel real while they're happening. Don't let them cloud your judgment. There's always someone spying on us to watch how we react afterward.

Did you know there's a love experiment every year in february? People stay linked together afterwards every year, so the experiment keeps happening. They obviously consider it a success. Don't let them have that.

How we start with you being honest? [IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE SO STOP WHINING.] Even if it wasn’t entirely real, some of it was. That wasn’t all the spirit. What I don’t get is why you’re so stubborn about being like--this.
