[He understands that. He does. It's why he doesn't make another attempt to wake her. Instead, he settles down in the corner of her room (near the spot he left her birthday gift, though he didn't think about it at the time). He'll let her sleep, intending to be there to talk with her when she's ready.

But he's been awake for just over 25 hours, and it's not long before he's let his head fall back against her wall. It's just a catnap. And he's not sleeping in her bed so she can't possibly think it's weird, right?]

[Oh, no. She wakes up with people in her room all the time. Except for the part where she actually doesn't. Seeing the silhouette when she first opens her eyes a few hours later has Zatanna sitting up in bed, reacting before she can really think about it, and certainly before she realizes just who's there.]

[A spell which has Robin's cape tying him up like a cocoon.]

[Well good morning to you too, Z. By the time Robin's alert enough to do something, he'd already thoroughly wrapped in his own costume.

That's fine. He'll just. You know. Be here. Maybe he'll even give an "mmph" of protest.]

What--Robin? [...Oops. Zatanna quickly gets out of bed, heading over to the bundle.] Sepor, emoc esool!

[Just as quickly as the binding has formed, it vanishes, freeing one Boy Wonder.]

[He relaxes as the ropes do, giving her a lopsided smile.]

Is that always how you say good morning?

[She's still pretty confused, but that smile is nice to see. So she shrugs a shoulder.]

Only when guys decide it's okay to let themselves into my room--which is a whole new level of creepy, by the way.

[But unlike before, she says it with fondness in her tone.]

You said you wanted to talk. You weren't ready when I got here.

[How is that even weird. You're weird.]

[Tense may not be bad. It could just be nervous, which Zatanna definitely feels. But since she's the one who asked to talk, and who's brought it up, it's only fair that she starts, right?

Right. Deep breath, then. And also? Ignoring how her cheeks burn redder as she talks.]

Yeah. Because I don't think it was a bad thing. I mean, we were going way too fast and I know that's because of what happened with the fake lives and all, but--I liked it.

[He's tomato red now, head deliberately downcast. And here he'd just finished making Jason agree to keep him in check until they could be sure everything was back to the way it should have been.]

It was.. Unprofessional of me to do that to you. I owe you an apology.

[Wait did she say she liked it? That's. Not what he was expecting.]

[Not really what Zatanna is expecting to hear, especially not after that little confession. She shakes her head slowly, unsure exactly of how she should take that.]

Last time I checked, there were two of us up there. And I want--wanted to. As much as you did.

[A long pause.]

I think I already answered that.

[GEEZ Robin. Pay attention.]

[HE'S BAD AT THIS OKAY.]

[She grins a little, glancing down at the floor.]
