Okay, that's definitely a good goal. But one, you can still have a life in the meantime, and two, it's not all on you. There's a bunch of other people who would be willing to help, me included. You don't have to make yourself miserable trying to save everyone.

You know, not everyone can just shut down what they're feeling at the drop of a hat. And I don't want to. I want to be upset. I liked what we had, even if it was crazy, and--

[And it really hurts because it wasn't real.]

[He lets her finish, then rests a hand on her upper arm.]

[That makes her stop short. Zatanna stares down at the ground, wrapping her arms around herself.]

It's not--I know you aren't him. [But she also knows that she'd been really close to something with her Robin back home. He isn't wrong.]

Are you sure? You said yourself that we could be similar. He might be coming close to something important. And maybe he'll need a friend to help him through it.

So I should focus on getting back home. That's what you're saying.

He lets her go. If she wants to leave, it's certainly not his place to stop her. This is already horrible and awkward.]
